Like how the the numbers look etched. Also, wish I could read the writing better. The item (pendant?) on the right makes me think of those charms they sell down here- bit of sand and a sea oat.

"Don't treat me like a woman. Don't treat me like a man. Don't treat me like you know me... treat me for just who I am."
I see that there are some comments you've chosen to hide, perhaps they reveal this mystery? I would say it may have something to do with the rhyme and it's origins with the black plague?
Anyway I really dig this (ive faved it) and I hope you do more with this same level of sophistication! The values look great and the composition is VERY well done.
They perhaps reveal some small smidgeon of it, but mostly I am just the sort of person who flails at clutter on a computer, and so I put them away. >_>
And yes, partly. Thank you for the +fav as well. And yes, I do like to work in charcoal a lot, so there's lots of such pieces lying around. Unfortunately, I almost never manage to get a good scan or photo of them, but this was a fluke and one I liked enough to share. Thanks for taking the time to comment beyond a few words! I love it when people do that.
